Canvas made for step-daughter

Here is a canvas that I made for my step-daughter. I love her just like one of my own children. I got the idea for this from a friend (Julie). She is also a crafter :)
I wish that we were closer (in distance) but I am very thankful for Skype because it's kept us closer. We are able to see her face while talking to her. Opening Christmas & Birthday gifts just isn't the same, but at least we can still watch it!

Hope you all had a safe and happy New Year! We stayed in...with the kids. Chris has started a new tradition with them which is banging pots and pans together at the strike of midnight (something he used to do as a child). They love it.

2012 has came and went. One of my resolutions this year is to keep up on this blog. I know that several people ask me "do you have a website" and this is the closest thing I have, but I tend to be a little reluctant to give them the web address because I don't keep up on it the best I should.

My laptop crashed shortly before Christmas and I've lost ALL my pictures :( For those of you that don't know me, I take a TON of pictures! I am very devastated about it for the simple fact that if the computer repair guy can't save them off my hard drive, then those pictures of the kids I had are gone forever! I had them backed up on our main home computer but it too went belly up about 3 months prior to my laptop and I forgot to back my laptop up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! Every card I've made, every craft I've made, everything I've done in reference to scrapbooking will also be gone!

So....that's another resolution. BACK UP MY COMPUTER FREQUENTLY!!!
